Hyderabad, June 3( eetaram bharatam) : The Telangana BJP today ridiculed the “bizarre and ignorant” statement made by newly appointed TPCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud, calling his comparison of Naxalites with the Pakistan Army both irresponsible and intellectually shallow.
Addressing the media, BJP State Chief Spokesperson and Media In-Charge N.V. Subash said, “It seems the Congress party has institutionalized ignorance under Rahul Gandhi’s leadership. The TPCC chief’s remarks only prove who can best imitate their leader’s lack of understanding of national and geopolitical issues.”
Subash took strong exception to Goud’s statement accusing the NDA government of refusing dialogue with Naxals while purportedly engaging with Pakistan’s jihadi mindset through DGMO-level talks. “Can there be a more ludicrous comparison? Pakistan, despite its hostile policies, is a recognized sovereign state. Naxalites, on the other hand, are violent, anti-state insurgents operating within India. Comparing the two reflects Congress’ shallow grasp of national security and diplomacy,” he saidDismissing Goud’s assertion that the Modi government ignored overtures from encircled Naxals in Kagarugutta forests seeking negotiations, Subash reminded him of basic constitutional principles. “Law and order, including handling of Naxal violence, is a State subject. Is the TPCC President unaware that it was the late Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy—his party’s own CM—who engaged in failed peace talks with Naxals? The consequences of that misadventure are now part of Telangana’s violent history,” he stated.
Subash also pointed out the factual inaccuracy in linking national security decisions to past remarks by former US President Donald Trump. “Dragging in Trump and implying that Modi acted on his advice is not just factually wrong, but laughably absurd. This reflects the kind of juvenile geopolitics Congress now peddles,” he added.Terming Congress a “party of ignorance and pack of liars” on national security matters, Subash urged the TPCC Chief to educate himself about the workings of a federal democratic system before making such reckless statements.
“The people of Telangana are watching. If the Congress continues to insult their intelligence with such immature and misleading comments, they will surely respond in the upcoming local body polls,” Subash warned.
