Eetaram Bharatham Hyderabad august 26 : VNR Vigyan Jyoti Institute of Engineering and Technology celebrated its 2025 commencement ceremony . It welcomed the 31st batch of engineering students. The event, which marks 30 years of academic excellence since its establishment in 1995, set a clear vision for the new students. “To become job creators and nation builders, not job hunters.” At the event, retired IPS General Secretary Shri Kodedurgapasrad inspired the students to take up a holistic education. He stressed the importance of independent thinking, asking questions for growth, and recognizing that freedom comes with responsibility. He highlighted that asking for help is not a weakness, but a strength, and encouraged the students to create a life beyond their degree by collecting sweet memories. President Sri Daggubati Suresh Babu urged the students to set SMART goals and find solutions to problems, not just degrees. He encouraged them to use classes for deep understanding and challenging discussions, emphasizing that the college is a non-profit organization and offers language training classes to help them survive the world. Former President Dr. D. N. Rao taught inexhaustible values. He urged the students to acknowledge the sacrifices of their parents and follow the ‘4 S’ principles of success—determination, hard work, perseverance and patience. He also wished them to develop a clear career vision and holistic development by focusing on ancient knowledge. Principal Dr. C.D. Naidu, while opening his address, stressed that the institution is committed to promoting entrepreneurs and parents should be actively involved in their children’s education. Director Dr. Chennakesava Rao explained the philosophy of VNR VJIET which makes education a life-long commitment, and outlined the four pillars of the institution: 1. Hands-on skill development through course-based projects, 2. Internships, 3. Patents and 4. Incubation Centres. The Director proudly spoke about a student who won a record annual income of Rs. 92 lakhs from a multi-national organization called Rubric. Dean Academic Progression Dr. Sivanarayana explained the academic framework aligned with the National Education Policy (R25). He said that interdisciplinary engineering, various electives, and project-based courses are offered, including 6 minor degrees. He emphasized the need for discipline and commitment, and the development of problem-solving skills through projects and internships right from the first year. Finally, Dean Student Progression Dr. T. Srinivasa Rao informed the students about the vibrant co-curricular activities including 15 clubs and 30 professional chapters. He emphasized the importance of consistent attendance (85-90%) and parental participation. During the program, Vice President K. Harishchandrapasrad, Treasurer Ajay Narne, Member T. Ramakrishna along with Deans, Heads of Departments (HODs) and other members of the society formally introduced the new students and their parents and extended a warm welcome to them. The new students enthusiastically shared their aspirations and opinions, while their parents expressed their immense happiness and satisfaction towards the institution and the program.
