Hyderabad August 16 (eetaram bharatam); CPI (ML) Chandra Pullareddy Central Committee Secretary Mallepally Prabhakar has demanded that the ban on the Maoist party be lifted and peace talks be held with them. Speaking at a media conference organized in Hyderabad on Saturday, Prabhakar said that for the last 50 years, thousands of oppressed people have been martyred by the police while fighting for land, freedom and the liberation of the oppressed people, on behalf of the Dalits, tribals and oppressed people, against these middlemen and plundering classes. Since the Emergency till now, rights groups, activists and Naxals have been killed in the name of fake encounters. The country’s politicians, investors, Tata, Birla, Ambani, Adani and foreign corporate companies have filled the Dandakaranya with police camps to loot the immense wealth, deposits and raw materials in the Dandakaranya. They are keeping innocent tribals in police camps and torturing them mentally and physically. Hundreds of them are being killed in every fake encounter, he expressed concern. The Central Committee of the CPI (ML) has demanded that the Central, State and State governments should immediately lift the ban on the Maoist party and hold peace talks with the Maoists, stop Operation Kagar, stop fake encounters with the Maoists who are supporting the tribals, immediately remove the military and police camps set up in the tribal areas, hold a judicial inquiry with the former sitting judge who conducted the trial on the mass killings and rapes in the name of Operation Kagar and take action against the police and military officials responsible. Chittibabu, Sudhakar, Sheikh Shawali, Sampangi Padammakka, Sunitha, Santosh Nayak and others participated in this program.
