Awareness Programme on Drug Abuse

Stating that today’s children are tomorrow’s citizens and that the responsibility of shaping a healthy society lies with students, Dr. Ch. Vijay Mohan Rao, D.G.C.E.O. & Chairman of International Nimble Human Rights, addressed students during an awareness programme.

On Thursday, at Kukunuru Mandal, Eluru District, Andhra Pradesh, under the aegis of National Nimble Human Rights, Eluru District, awareness programmes were conducted at the ST Girls Ashram School, Cheeravalli ZP High School, and Rajeev Nagar ZP High School on the theme “Say No to Drugs – Say No to Corruption.”

Dr. Vijay Mohan Rao highlighted that drug abuse severely affects the future of youth and emphasized the need to create awareness among students from an early age. He appealed to educated citizens, youth, and concerned department officials across the district to extend their cooperation in organizing such awareness initiatives.

Speaking on the occasion, Eluru District President Mr. Vasantha Kumar stated that these programmes are being conducted to ensure students develop awareness about drugs and corruption from childhood.

District General Secretary Mr. Sudhakar explained to students the harmful effects, health hazards, and social consequences of drug addiction.

The programme was attended by Eluru District Coordinator Mr. Bayyani Nageswara Rao, Chief Advisor Mr. Mantri Gopalakrishna, District Vice President Mr. Budugula Tarun, Mr. Munagala Sai, Mr. Kesari Sambasiva Rao, Headmaster of Rajeev Nagar ZP High School, Ms. Mangamma, Headmistress of Kukunuru Girls Ashram School, Ms. Radha, Headmistress of Cheeravalli High School, along with teachers and students.
