The distribution of Indiramma sarees was held on a grand scale in the 45th Division of Khammam city. As part of the prestigious welfare schemes introduced for women by the Telangana government, free Indiramma sarees were distributed to eligible women across the division.
Khammam Urban Congress Committee President, Nagandla Deepak Choudhary, attended the event as the chief guest and distributed the sarees to the women with his own hands. Speaking on the occasion, he assured that under the people’s government, women’s self-respect is given top priority, and steps will be taken to ensure that every eligible individual benefits from the government schemes.
“The Congress government is working with the sole objective of women’s welfare. Indiramma Rajyam (Indiramma’s governance) will bring light into every household,” he stated.
The women who received the sarees expressed their joy and extended their gratitude to the government and the local leadership.
