Representatives of the Sri Vaishnava Seva State Association met with Pradesh Congress Committee President Sri Mahesh Kumar Goud and submitted a memorandum requesting that “Sri Vaishnava” candidates be given priority and due consideration for the Corporation Chairman and Director posts, which the state government is set to fill at the end of this month.Speaking on the occasion, the Association’s State President, Thiruvarangam Prabhakar, stated that a grave injustice had been done to the Sri Vaishnava community by filling both the Chairman and Vice-Chairman posts of the Brahmin Parishad exclusively with Vaidika Brahmins. He demanded that at least five Director posts be allocated to Sri Vaishnavas during the upcoming appointments for the Brahmin Parishad.
He explained that appointing Sri Vaishnavas—who possess a comprehensive understanding of the *Vaishnava Agama* traditions followed daily in Vaishnava temples—as governing body members would ensure the smooth conduct of rituals and worship activities in those temples. They also requested that justice be served by providing a suitable opportunity to Sri Srinivasa Chari, a long-time servant of the Congress party.State-level office-bearer Sri Sudarshana Charyulu and others participated in this event.
