The PDSU has demanded a comprehensive inquiry into the No Objection Certificates (NOCs) of private junior colleges and insisted that there be no compromise on student safety. Speaking at a press conference held at the Hyderguda Press Club in Hyderabad, PDSU Telangana State President K. Pawan Kumar and State General Secretary K.L. Ganesh urged the government to conduct a thorough investigation into the documents—such as Fire NOCs, building stability certificates, and building premises certificates—submitted by private junior colleges in Telangana during the processes of granting permissions and renewing affiliations.Citing news reports published in various newspapers, they called upon the government to respond immediately and initiate an inquiry covering the following 10 points.
PDSU’s 10 Key Demands: 1. Constitute a special inquiry committee regarding the NOCs of private junior colleges; conduct a special audit of records concerning permission, recognition, and affiliation/renewal for the academic years 2024–25, 2025–26, and 2026–27; cross-verify every college’s Fire NOC against the Fire Department’s original records; and comprehensively verify building stability certificates, approved building plans, and building permissions through the respective departments. They demanded a verification to ensure that details such as Survey Number, Door Number, Address, number of floors, and built-up area in the NOC match the actual building; a special inquiry into whether an NOC issued for one building was used for another; verification of documents related to sanitation, drinking water, electricity, and land/lease agreements through the respective departments; strict action against colleges found to have submitted false or forged documents; and departmental and legal action against officials who granted permissions without proper document verification. They also called for the establishment of a transparent system for verifying every NOC via online digital means in the future. PDSU State President K. Pavan Kumar and State General Secretary K.L. Ganesh jointly stated, “No college management’s interests are more important than the safety of students’ lives. The government must immediately investigate the allegations regarding fake NOCs and place the facts before the public. If student safety is compromised, the PDSU will launch a statewide agitation.” PDSU Assistant Secretary B.M. Vamsi, State Committee members G. Praveen and D. Ganesh, and leader Shiva, among others, participated in the press conference.
