District Collector explains the allocation process for flats built by the Telangana Housing Board
District Collector Anudeep Durishetty announced that flats with a 450 sq. ft. plinth area are now available for low-income groups at Sriram Hills, Bonakal Road.
On Monday, at the Collectorate, the District Collector—along with Additional Collectors Dr. P. Sreeja and P. Srinivasa Reddy briefed district officials on the allocation process for the flats constructed by the Telangana Housing Board.
Key Details from the Collector’s Briefing:
Availability & Pricing: A total of 126 flats are ready on Bonakal Road. The price for each flat has been fixed at ₹9.90 Lakhs.
Application Process: Interested candidates must make an advance payment of ₹1 Lakh through Meeth Seva centers by April 18. If a flat is not allotted, the advance payment will be fully refunded.
Infrastructure Update:The Collector noted that while access issues previously deterred buyers, those problems are now fully resolved, and the colony features a complete road network.
Target Group: Low-income employees, particularly Fourth Class (Grade IV) staff and Outsourcing employees are encouraged to utilize this opportunity.
Eligibility Criteria:
* Applicants must be residents of Khammam District
* Monthly income must be between ₹25,000 and ₹50,000
* Selection Process: Allocation will be conducted transparently via a lottery system on April 22
Payment Schedule for Allottees:Once selected in the lottery, the payment must be made in three installments:
1. First Installment: 25% within 15 days of allotment.
2. Second Installment: 50% within 60 days.
3. Third Installment: The remaining 25% within 90 days.
The District Collector instructed all departmental heads to ensure their staff is well-informed about this housing colony.
